Please join us for Thanksgiving Eve Mass on Wednesday, November 25 at 6:30 pm or Thanksgiving Day Mass, Thursday, November 26 at 9:00 am.  You may bring Thanksgiving food to be blessed during Mass. Come fill your spirit before you full your bellies!

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26th.  There are many closings during that week so everyone can enjoy this family holiday.  School will be closed from Monday, November 23 to Friday, November 27. ECM will be closed from Wednesday, November 25 to Friday, November 27. Parish and School Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. Everything will open as normal on Monday, November 30th.  Happy Thanksgiving!

All Saints Day will be celebrated on Sunday, November 1st.  This year, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but is still a Holy Day since it falls on a Sunday.  Anticipation Mass is Saturday, October 31 at 5:30 pm and we have three Masses on Sunday, November 1: 7:00 am, 8:30 am and 11:30 pm. We will have very special guests at our 8:30 am and 11:30 am Masses on Sunday, November 1st.  Our school's 5th graders will be portraying some of our most popular saints!  Come see if you can find YOUR favorite saint!

Monday, November 2nd, is All Soul's Day.  Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi will have Mass at 8:00 am and a Blessing of our Resurrection Garden Columbarium.  This will be a very simple ceremony, a somber prayer, but one of hope for those who have died. Please bring along family, neighbors and friends so we all can celebrate, remember and place our Hope in Christ.

Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi is holding a DINE TO DONATE FUNDRAISER on Tuesday, October 20th at Johnson's BBQ Shack.  Just purchase food there between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm and tell them it is to support Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi.  A portion of your total bill will go to support our school!  This event is going on at BOTH Johnson's BBQ Shack locations:  85 S. Baldwin Street, Bargersville and 100 Byrd Way, Greenwood.  Come have a great lunch/dinner and help support our school!

Prepare your family's hearts for Advent and Christmas by sharing with other children!  Ask your children to go through their toys and donate the gently used ones that they no longer play with...ones that another child would enjoy.  Then bring your donations to St. Clare Hall (school cafeteria) on October 24th (4:30 pm - 6:30 pm) & 25th (7 am - 3 pm).  These donations will be taken to St. Patrick Catholic Church's Pro Vita Non-Profit organization and distributed.  For more information or to make other drop off arrangements, contact kdollens@ss-fc.org or call (317)859-4673.

6th ANNUAL TRIVIA NIGHT AT SAINTS FRANCIS & CLARE OF ASSISI, Saturday, November 7, 2020, 6:30 pm. Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic School is hosting the 6th Annual Trivia Night as a fundraiser for the school ministry. This year, due to Covid-19, the event will be VIRTUAL, presented by Hambone's Trivia.  The bonus of this is that the game can be played anywhere there is an internet connection!   This fun event welcomes everyone over the age of 21.  Tickets are $30 per person and teams can consist of 2 to 8 people.  For more information, go to https://tinyurl.com/SSFCTriviaNightInfo. Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's Outreach Ministry will be conducting its annual Christmas Store Collection on the weekends starting Saturday, October 10th thou Sunday, October 18th.   WHAT IS THE CHRISTMAS STORE?  This is a unique program of the Archdiocese that serves the needy during the Christmas Time. Families are referred to the store from various community agencies and churches. (Our parish is authorized to send 20 families to shop at the Store.)   All items available are new and include: clothing for all ages, toys, household items and school items. This project is staffed by volunteers and funded by donations. Our support will assure its continuance.  Last year, the Christmas Store helped over 900 families, which included 4,000 children.  To be part of the Christmas Store, please bring NEW, UNWRAPPED GIFTS to the Outreach Ministry's table during the weekends of October 10th and 18th.

The Youth Ministry of Saints Francis & Clare is hosting its annual PURSE BINGO on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm.  This year, there will be a few new "Covid twists", to make sure everyone is safe and happy... We will gather in tables of FOUR.  There is a limit of TWO tables reserved under the same name.  No individual reservation will be accepted.  You can reserve your table at https://tinyurl.com/SSFCPurseBingoRegistration .   The price of a table is $120 (includes 12 games of bingo).  There will be opportunities for food, drink, raffle baskets, 50/50 raffle and, of course, the possibility of winning a designer purse (valued at at least $150).  Payments for reserved tables will be accepted after all Masses on the weekend of September 26th/27th.  On September 28th, all reservations that were not paid in full will be forfeited for those on the waiting list.  Masks will be required for the event.

Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church is holding a HUGE 50/50 Raffle!  Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we will not be holding our usual Fall Festival this year.  Instead, we are having a 50/50 Raffle and a Quilt Raffle.   The 50/50 Raffle could be HUGE, depending how many tickets are sold!  The price of tickets is $10/ticket or $25 for 3 tickets.  Tickets are available to pick up in the narthex.  Simply fill out the ticket and return filled out part, along with payment, to the parish/school office or put them in an envelope and deposit them in the offering basket in church.  Feel free to sell them to your friends and neighbors!  The more tickets are bought, the BIGGER the payout will be!  Thank you to Alexander Dentistry and Kim Alexander for sponsoring our raffle! Tickets for our beautiful Quilt Raffle are available in the parish/school office OR in the narthex after all weekend Masses on August 22/23, August 29/30, September 12/13 and September 19/20.  The for a chance to win this wonderful handmade, queen-size quilt, the tickets are only $5/one ticket or $10/three tickets! Thank you to Pam Hart for making and donating our 2020 Quilt! Drawing for both raffles will be 4:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2020.

Our Parent-Faculty Organization (PFO) is holding its annual TRASH BAG FUNDRAISER.  This is the only fundraiser that PFO will have this year and all profits go to benefit Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi School and teachers throughout the year.  They will be selling White kitchen bags (15 gallon, 65 bags/roll); Yellow trash bags (39 gallon, 25 bags/roll);  Blue trash bags (55 gallon, 16 bags/roll); and  BACK THIS YEAR, PINK trash bags (39 gallon, 25 bags/roll).  Each roll or pack is just $10.00.  These are very high quality trash bags and...

Please join the Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Facility and Grounds Committee to "spruce up" the parish property and school by joining us at our Annual Parish and School Work Day on Saturday, July 25 from 8 am - 1 pm.  We will be working inside and outside, so please dress appropriately.  Make sure to bring work gloves and plenty of sunscreen.  We would also appreciate it if you could bring any yard tools (labeled with your last name) to help with the cleanup.  Please make sure to review this year's COVID-19 guidelines for the work day.  Check in will be outside the doors of the school cafeteria.

Dear Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi Family and Friends, We are very sorry and grieved that the current Coronavirus Pandemic has affected almost every aspect of your lives.  Please know that you are included in our thoughts and prayers. Due to the pandemic, our schools, offices and church building are closed as we respect the call for social distancing. We are still here for you!  Our staff is mostly working from home, but we are still answering emails and returning phone calls and our students are involved with E-learning over the internet.  We are not having any public Masses, but rest assured that all Masses are being said privately by Father Steve Giannini and Father Jey Sengolraj.   We do not have a date that we will reopen.  We are not scheduling any events or meetings until June and are taking our direction from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and our Indiana governor.   Everyone stay healthy and contact us if you need help. Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's Men's Club is once again hosting it's annual REVERSE RAFFLE on Saturday, February 22 in St. Clare Hall.  Cocktails start at 6:30 pm and Dinner will begin at 7:15 am.  Tickets are $75.00 for two or $40 for one.  If you purchase a couple's ticket, you and your date names will be entered.  Each ticket includes dinner, beer/wine and soft drinks.  Tickets are available for purchase after weekend Masses or at the door on the evening of the event.  Take note that this event frequently sells out. The GRAND PRIZE is $2,000, AND there will be four additional $250 cash prizes given out during the evening.  Silent Auction items will be offered and 50/50 drawings will occur throughout the evening. Come to Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church on Sunday, December 8th! During the 8:45 am Mass, Father Steve Giannini will bless the tree and the ornaments that our third graders have made.  The children will then place their ornaments on the Jesse Tree.  Jesse Trees are a very old Christmas Tradition that first started in medieval times.   It helps connect the custom of decorating a Christmas Tree to the events leading to Jesus' birth.  Each decorated ornament represents the people, prophesies and events leading up to the birth of Jesus.
