Arts & Environment

The Arts & Environment Committee works under the guidance of the Worship Ministry to enhance the celebration of Liturgy by creating an atmosphere of hospitality and simplicity.  This work incorporates the use of flowers, hangings and artwork to evoke the mood or message of the Liturgical Seasons.  This can include the worship space as well as gathering or outdoor spaces.

Some seasons require more attention; others are quiet and reflective.  The seasons are: Advent, Christmas, Winter Ordinary time, Lent, Tridium, Easter, Summer/Fall Ordinary time.  We also decorate for the special feast days of Mary, Saint Francis and Saint Clare.

Committee members have flexibility to help with some or all of the decorating times or help with maintaining flowers and plants in the sanctuary and narthex.

Decorating Committee

The Decoration Committee of Arts & Environment uses banners, artwork and flowers to enhance worship and Liturgy.  If you are interested in helping with seasonal decorating, please contact Pat Kneebone,

Floral Committee

This Floral Committee of Arts and Environment maintains plants and flowers for use in the worship spaces and gathering areas.

The Linens Committee maintains the linens used for Liturgy. Volunteers collect the used lines after Sunday Masses, washes, irons (if necessary), and returns them by the following Saturday Mass.  If you would line to join the Linens Committee, contact Terry Lain,
